Shutting it Down

As some of you already know, we are shutting down our church planting efforts in downtown Madison, Ind.

After pouring our lives into the process for the last two years, we have realized that either a) this was not the right time to plant, or b) we were not the right people to plant.

We would like to thank everyone who supported us with prayers and words of encouragement. And we would especially like to thank all of those who supported the mission with their faithful and committed self-less service to the Church in the Grass/New Identity Church.

We are unsure of exactly what God has for us at this point. We still feel called to reach into the undeserved areas of our community and I still feel a strong call to preach.
At this point we will focus on the same mission of introducing Christ through discipleship and evangelism to the the lost while searching for an established local church family of which to be a part.

Please pray that Jesus Christ will continue to be our central focus of our hearts and devotions. Please pray that the dedicated few who partnered with us will connect to a local church and be as dedicated and faithful to their future church families as they have been to ours.

And please pray that we will keep our eyes and hearts open to opportunities that are not on our radar at the moment.

In all things, may God be glorified and receive the maximum praise for His abounding and steadfast love.

Ken, Steve and I were honored to be a part of the planting efforts of New Identity Church. God's timing is perfect and we have to place our trust and faith in Him and be ready for any and every new plan He places before us. It was a joy getting to know all involved and opening up our home to such a great group of people. May God richly bless you and your family and let's keep in touch!
