I am reading “The Color of Church” by Rodney Woo for a class this week. It is a great book so far and I would suggest it to anyone who wants to see their church reflect the diversity that is seen in the Bible (example: Revelation 7:9-10) and in many segments of society (example: U.S. military).
And even if your church is solid in that respect, I would suggest this book to everyone, simply for Chapter Four, which deals with repentance of sin. Woo elaborates on the aspects of how Biblical repentance is not as simple or as flippant of a process as we sometimes make it out to be. And, if done biblically, repentance is more freeing than we usually experience.
Pick this book up if you haven't yet.
